Lisa Long
(b. Oakland, California, lives in Berlin) is a curator specialized in contemporary and time-based art, as well as visual and aural cultures. She is currently the Artistic Director of the Julia Stoschek Foundation in Berlin and Düsseldorf, where she has curated numerous solo and group exhibitions, screenings, performances, concerts, readings, and other public events since 2018. Long is a co-founder and board member of the non profit community initiative And She Was Like:BÄM! and co-editor of the collaborative project Companion Studies. She has written catalog essays and articles for institutions, galleries, and magazines, and has taught Curatorial Studies at Folkwang University in Essen. Long has an M.A. from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College and a B.A. in Art History and Musicology from the University of Cologne.
